What Will Be Added on Fall 2013 Wedding Dress: Sleeves!

For what seems like forever now, strapless has been de rigueur for wedding dresses, but as designers continue on their constant quest for “something new” – and as brides tire of seeing everyone in the same neckline – for Fall 2013 and beyond you can expect the return of lots and lots of sleeves.

The movement began, we suppose, with Kate Middleton’s now-iconic lace long-sleeved wedding gown, but rather than being a blip on the trend scene it looks like the sleeve is here to stay.

Now for those who were married in previous bridal sleeve heydays (refer to the 1990s if you are not familiar with the phenomenon), you might be thinking, “why????” But the truth is, the sleeves we’ve seen are actually quite pretty and refreshing. Think less bulky, more delicate than in previous incarnations – with lots of sheer illusion fabric and lace.
